Torrefaction used in combination with pelletization is a promising technology to upgrade solid biofuels and has been demonstrated worldwide. In comparison normal biomass pellets, which disintegrate under wet conditions, one of the advantages torrefied pellets better water resistance. It was found that post-torrefied had much lower levels than pre-torrefied both tests. test no-roof condition, rate increase more double exhibited almost no change.
